Happy New Year
This message is human-written. While we strongly believe in automation, we deeply value authentic communication as the foundation of strong relationships.
With 2025, another year full of new opportunities and endeavours comes to an end. For us, the highlight of the SMLA year was the Marketplace Lending Conference in September, which for the first time took place in Basel. Our panelists let us peek into their investment decision process and our guest speaker showed us the economic impact of the US tariffs on the Swiss economy. We could present the highest Marketplace Lending volumes in our still young history (reference year 2024). Not only did our members grow in volume, but also new, important relationships were established during the year.
Next year, we have a special focus on our institutional investors. We will host the conference in June (here you can already pre-register for the conference), and we will be back in Zurich. Moving forward, greater transparency and even more standardised reporting are helping to build trust and comparability within the asset class.
