Understanding the risks and returns of investments in marketplace lending is essential for the evolution of the Swiss market. The total market volume in Switzerland is slightly higher than that of the SMLA members. The data for the years 2008 to 2020 can be found in the annual market study by the Lucerne School of Business (Source: Crowdfunding Monitor).

Below, you can find default rates and returns of loans issued by SMLA members. The data is aggregated according to the respective vintage (year, in which the loan was paid out) and calculated every year from 2018 to 2022 as of 31 December.
